Chommers... boots will wear in very quickly! Mine did...

Beret... yeah K&C are the mutts nutts. Both my commando and maroon ones are K&C. The link says 10 1/2" which is correct.

Uberwallwer... the trick is... DON'T SHAPE IT! :)

BTW... I just got:

4 copies of Victory Magazine, with dates around the start of the Chindit Expedition, so perfect.
Civvie wartime/prewar map of India, Ceylon and Burma
A "Quinphos" tonic tablet box. Made by these guys in the early part of the 20th Century http://www.tablets2buy.com/english/company.php
Ogden's Redbreast Flake Tobacco Tin (probably post war...)

The SoF beret (which I was wearing on Sunday) ain't the huge K&C dinner plate jobbie. I found you need to shape it somewhat else it looks like a beret from a girl's private school uniform. That is to say, to get it to flop to one side it needs some brutal treatment.

"canadian" browning type holster with lift the dot clasp, suspiciously brown but hopefully a good covering of blanco should sort it out

DHL have just turned up with some leather treatment products I want to give a try:

Flexlan 500ml (clear odour-free liquid) £4.95
VP Neatsfoot 500ml (cloudy, slightly viscous liquid, slight odour) £3.75
Effax lederbalsam 500ml (solidified but squishy wax, smells strongly of honeycomb) £5.40

I've used dubbin, KoChoLine and boot polish up to now...

Oh, bought them from http://www.greenmule.co.uk/ - online ordering, goods arrived next day. Prices are good too.

Heh, you have already seen everything there is to see Del!

I've just been reading the labels - this looks like cracking stuff. I'm going to design some pretty labels to stick over the pots and leave them on Mrs C-W's bedside table - should do wonders to her aged, dried out and cracked skin. She can leave it soaking overnight and I'll buff her up in the morning. 8)

Not sure if he's back from London yet. I got a PM from him regarding a 'small' order couple of days ago - he said they were off to the big smoke

Gah, I try and pay a compliment and it gets thrown back in my face. Blokes are on a hiding to nothing. (Hiding to nothing? What a stupid phrase!)

Hiding to something would be more apt (but then you wouldn't get it if you were hiding :? )
